At 18 summers old she was visiting Gridania from studying in Old Sharlayan, unfortunately she lost her mother in the Calamity. Due to her being young and without work experience she resorted to sex work to keep herself afloat along with dabbling in necromancy in her grief over her mother. After 4 years however, she moved away from sex work and took up the lance. After training with the lancers she met Yda and Papalymo in the twelveswood, eventually joining the Scions of the Seventh Dawn and becoming the Warrior of Light.After joining the Scions she would soon meet her would be wife, Tuzi Dazkar from the Azim Steppe. The two would end up becoming the two saviors of the star. In her adventures she would find out the ghost that had been bothering her since childhood was something that wanted to kill her. The ghost she dubbed Avarice would take advantage of Y'lixa's emotional outbursts and tilt the power balance in Avarice's own favor.In the time between being the Warrior of Light and her adventures she was studying aetherology and persuing her archon mark. Following in her half-sister's footsteps, Y'lixa would gain her archon mark of aetherology at the end of Endwalker. Or helping Arya train while X'rhun is away. After gaining her Archon mark - she would be a part-time teacher at the studium in Old Sharlayan in aetherology. Occasionally you can find her weaving not unlike her mother.When not running around, people often find her in Limsa. Enjoying the weather as well as visiting friend's homes. Or her helping the post moogles. She had long since gave up necromancy, however she often following her half-sister Y'shtola around while they search for void fissures and ways to travel betwixt the stars.
